First heard him when he spoke at Cornerstone Chapel. This is a great book about his unique upbringing and journey to Christ. From being Woke to Christ.

Enjoyed thoroughly

A writer I am not so m review will not go into great detail. I enjoyed this book and loved hearing the author read it! Nostalgic. Eric, through his words took me to each place he wrote about. The most hilarious was on the train with the Frenchman!! I’m hoping 2 of my sons will listen to this book, Eric’s humor and dialog I believe they will enjoy and appreciate.

Thank you Eric for sharing your story and I look forward to the next book and hearing about your walk with the Lord.

Fantastic and hilarious and deep

I have loved and appreciated Eric Metaxas for years but it was really a delight to listen to his book… His first chapter of his life… There were many laugh out loud moments often followed by heart grabbing, sentimental and serious questions and experiences. I love when an author reads his own book for audible! He or she just knows exactly the tone of voice that they meant it in and there’s just nothing like it! Eric is an incredibly talented writer!

Wonderful Story Telling

It's unbelievable and wonderful. Eric has uncanny ability to recall so much detail from his youth, to share, which I so much enjoyed. He has provided original perspective on his life experiences from boyhood, travel, family history, and events, supporting his search for meaning. He explores his love of family, fishing hobby, school, love of learning, and then many challenges he overcame in his unending road to success, where he shares his final understanding to his life's true meaning and joy. I want to experience more from his great ability to share his perspective.

Fascinating

The details ring with the sound of searching for the joyous refrain of a church bell beckoning the listener to hear and draw near.

A great read, looking for the meaning of life 👍

The many times the author thought he had arrived at the meaning of life, he came up empty. Submitting himself to God made all the difference! A strong case for Evangelical Christianity!
