I’m at that kind of rough party you wouldn’t want to see your daughter at.
That’s when I see her.
A cute little rich girl who’s found herself on the wrong side of the tracks.
I know immediately that she doesn’t belong here and it sends a protective streak surging through me.
She reminds me of a chipmunk. Just as small, adorable, and helpless.

Review of audiobook borrowed through Audible Plus.
Possible Spoilers:
Mackenzie is with Joy, the friend from hell, who takes her to a party on the wrong side of town, where these rich girls don’t belong. Joy then goes off with a guy, ditching Mackenzie who is being terrorized by the creepy Scorpion, when she’s rescued by Colton. Unfortunately, they’ve made an enemy of Scorpion, who riles his guys to attack Colton and his motorcycle shop. He gets her away on his motorcycle and they go to her family’s lake house. But Scorpion’s crew aren’t ready to give up.
When her father gives Mackenzie an ultimatum, she chooses Colton. Our HEA epilogues give us how he’s a self-made man with several shops and they have at least 3 children. Personally, I was disappointed that, at 25 years, there was no mention of how many children they have, nor her parents.
The Virtual Voice was adequate. There were no obvious mispronunciations or really bad pacing. This was one of the better executions.
