Surprising

I usually don't like short stories but when I saw that Aaron Shedlock was narrating I went for it! I'm a fan of his sweet, rough timber and appropriate inflections. One of his female character voices made me chuckle but I doubt I could come up with multiple (convincing) female voices either...and I'm a female! Needless to say I enjoyed his performance and recommend this audiobook for that reason alone.

Enter the author Leydy Otero. I've never read/listened to any of her work before this so I didn't have any preconceived notions of her. I was pleasantly surprised at how well developed the characters and storyline was for a short story. I'm buying the second part along with grabbing the third in writing as I'm hooked. I look forward to more of her work and I might even give another author a chance again at a short story.
