Fantastic production!

First of all the duet narration, sound effects, and music were just wonderful. I really enjoyed the listening experience. Secondly, the story was so well written. The book was written in a way that made me feel like I could really see through the eyes of the characters, all the details and descriptions were well done. There is sensual tension between characters and sweet moments together, but clean enough for YA. This story exists in the human/fae world, so there are many interesting characters. And I loved Aleria. Such a strong female character. Looking forward to reading or listening to more by Brandi Gann.

This is such an amazing and well written book! It is obvious so much effort and love was put into this. I loved all the accents of the different characters, it made it so easy to keep up with who was talking! It was truly a masterpiece! As soon as it was over I wanted to restart it and listen again! Super excited for more books to come!:)

Absolutely stunning story and it was so great to hear the audio.

I’ve been impatiently waiting on this audio version to come out since its release was announced. I’m a sucker for Fae romantasy and Firebrand is no exception. I laughed, kicked my heels and squealed and sobbed throughout the whole book and I’ve actually already read the print version. The pacing is great and exactly what you expect with a Brandi Gann novel. There are places that are absolutely heart wrenching and then she slowly pieces your heart back together as the character develops. It’s a beautiful closed door romance as well as a book about finding your own strength and picking yourself back up when you’ve lost all you’ve known. The feistiness of the MFC Aleria is great. She’s a real feeling character who isn’t perfect and comes across totally relatable. The MMC is swoonworthy and the banter and sass is chef’s kiss. Firebrand has just the right amount of drama and angst to keep you on the edge of your seat. Now let’s talk about the audio part. Both voice actors, yes there are only two, did amazing. The characters are distinct and there’s no confusion on who is speaking. This listen gave me graphic audio vibes without it sounding completely like a movie. The little special effects and extra background sounds added in were absolutely perfect and made me feel like I was actually in the fantasy world Brandi weaves with her vivid story telling. It was so wonderful to hear the author actually do the vocals because the emotions and inflections were spot on. I love that. The male audio is British so that also gave a nice touch to the story line however some of his pronunciations made me giggle due to the differences in British and American accents and vocabulary but nothing that took me out of the story or changed how good it was to hear characters near and dear to my heart come alive. I can’t wait for the next book. Five star read and listen.

Beautifully written and performed!

The story grabbed me immediately! I love Gann’s writing style, her immersive world, and the characters she brings to life. The flow of her words is incredible. And even more impressive is her narration and acting! I’m always a little wary when I see the author narrating their own work, but I cannot imagine anyone else playing the FMC with as much authenticity and heart. The male narrator is very good as well, though some of his characters’ voices sound a bit too similar and he tends to jump into yelling too quickly in emotional moments, without giving the scene time to build. Overall amazing job!
