everything about this collection is stunning, but to also hear it in the authors own voice and at her own pace was the icing on the cake. loved every bit of this!

New Favorite Poetry!

If you are tired of the old archetypal stories of damsels in distress and princess locked in towers, or witches cast as evil, then this book is for you! Each poem/story is poignant and powerful, rewriting the stories of the past and making way for a new paradigm to emerge in the collective consciousness.

Really lovely

I'd walk & listen & mentally dog-ear many pages with love the pictures she painted with words.
If you love fractured fairy tales, this is a good one. I loved alternative viewpoints and the readers cadence.
it takes a minute to understand the structure of the book. I do wish it maybe read the number, but I also think it could be distracting because their so short.

Powerful

Within the first couple chapters I had to pause the book. Words hit home and left me feeling raw in a way that I felt a little less worthless.
This whole book is a reminder that we exist outside of our relationships to men. That there is more to us than that.

Often I would have to pause to just breathe and sit with this newly spun idea of an old tale.
It is a book I will register to.
