Some men take one step forward and two steps back. Some men feel stagnant for months, only to have the entirety of their world test them all in a weeks time. Some men never achieve anything notable; they are too invested in their egos their faith or their fear and not invested enough in their marriage. Words don’t make the man, he makes himself.
The book is structured with a series of loosely connected field reports packaged into a few dozen case studies. These are some of the more common situations men have found themselves in, and what you can learn from them. Don’t make these mistakes. Do learn from these successes.

In an attempt to correct for these disparities, our current culture tries to rob both appearance of its power and power of its appearance - to say that the way a person dresses or looks doesn’t - or at least shouldn’t matter.

Thanks Couch!
I read this first prior to listening to it. It definitely cemented the breakdown of these field reports. The overarching message is that the life you live as a man is your own life choices. Change is difficult, but it can be done.
