We are consumed by fear at every moment in our life, and peace is the detachment of fear from our conscious reality. Many would argue that this is awareness, but in fact, we live in a constant state of fear that drives all behavior and the rapidity of decisions that lead to our actions. Sometimes, these are thought to be instinctual reactions, and other times, these are believed to be well-calculated decisions. Our subconscious is dealing with constant fear of our environments, futures, and much more at all times, so every decision that we make has the foundation of being a deliberate action leading to our survival and ability to procreate whether we are fully conscious of it or not. Fear underlies all aspects of human life, and since it is the only constant in life underlying all other emotions, the best we can hope for is to harness it and use it to motivate ourselves. Without fear, we can't survive, so embracing the reality of the human psyche and experience is the best approach to utilizing fear as it cannot be conquered but only dealt with and respected.
