The lives of two strangers, Greg Jenkins and Megan Brighton, become inextricably entangled when they each sign up for a dinner dating agency. Greg's reason for joining has nothing to do with looking for love. His recently divorced sister, Sam, has disappeared and Greg is convinced that Dinner for Twelve, or at least one of its clients, may be responsible.

Neither is Megan looking for love. Although single, she only joined at her best friend Brenda De Luca's insistence. When a client of the dating agency is murdered, suspicion falls on several of the members. Then Megan's friend Brenda disappears without trace, and Megan and Greg join forces. What did you love best about Fatal Liaison?

The story and the way Ms. Tyley has the ability to keep her readers guessing who the real perpetrator is. She gives other characters reasons to be the perpetrator and when a reader gets to the end of the story they find out they didn't guess correctly. I love that.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fatal Liaison?

That Vicki Tyley includes her Aussie language and places in Australia. As I read I always have my laptop on and find myself going to Google and look up the places and things that are mentioned and that makes me feel like I am right there with the characters in Australia .

Which scene was your favorite?

Every scene.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I loved the topic of this story and it made me think about women and men joining a dating service. TV daily has many dating commercials and I cringe for women and men who are hoping to find a partner for life in these places and it also seems to draw the attention of unscrupulous people. How can anyone know which person is truly looking for an honest person and which one is evil? You can't tell by looks or what a person puts on their resumes for the dating services.

Any additional comments?

Ms. Tyley's stories do not have gory bloody scenes nor explicit sex, just light romance.
My main reading is mystery and suspense and I give kudos to Vicki Tyley for always making me guess and think I know who the perpetrator is then finding I didn't guess the right perp.
Also love Larissa Gallagher (narrator) for how she tells this story. She gets right into this story and as I listened with my eyes closed it made me feel like I was visualizing a play or a movie. Great job by writer and narrator.

Good Psychological

A dating agency.brings out why some join. When murder happens and another disappear, who is guilty. Good plot brings out why one may not want to join one, with good narration.Given audio for my voluntary review and

What a psychological thriller. Suspenseful to the very end. Mental illness along with psychosis can be deadly. Am unexpected pairing I'm the midst of all the sickness, so some good did come out of it all. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator was okay.

easy, fun listen. draws you in.

What made the experience of listening to Fatal Liaison the most enjoyable?

I'm normally not a big audio book person, but my wife encouraged me to listen to this and I'm glad I did. The story pulls you in from the beginning and keeps your interest. It's a "beach read" type of book that I've been listening to on my commute. Makes the time fly and has become a part of the day that I look forward to.

Great plot, but wordy

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No, I don't think I would recommend this book. I loved the description, and the plot had plenty of things going on, but it was too wordy. 51 chapters was too much info for this story

Would you be willing to try another book from Vicki Tyley? Why or why not?

Yes, I would read another book by this author because I loved parts of this book. I liked very much the pieces that worked, I just think there were too many pieces that went overboard.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

The narrator did an ok job, her voice was a bit tinny, but she read the story well.

Did Fatal Liaison inspire you to do anything?

No.

I'd like to see another book by Ms. Tyly, but I would like to see it tightened up a bit.
