Great pick me up!

Sweet potato queens are perfect if you need a laugh! Its a great reminder that even the rough times can be funny with the right perspective. I wouldn't have bought this for myself but it was a great gift!

Faaaannnntastic!

I loved everything about this book, including Jill’s narration. Apparently some folks thinks she reads too slowly, but I suspect they are from up north. Bless their hearts. For those of who like a few extra syllables here and there, the cadence is perfect. This book resonated with me more than any before, particularly when she spoke of caring for her mother at the end of her life. I’m sure I’ll revisit it again before long.

Jill Conner Brown is just amazing - I re-listed to this book whenever I need a pick me up. She never fails to put a giggle in my voice and a smile on my face. Amazing woman.

This book is so relatable that it made me cry ,laugh, and ponder my next third!

I'm in love!

Just finished this book. It was so much fun to read/hear. Imagine if a delightful and hilarious southern belle hijacked an NPR studio for 9 hours and did a marathon segment of how to deal with some shit, and how to laugh at other shit.

I love to hear Jill’s voice as she tells stories about her life lessons and escapades. She writes just the way she speaks and it is a true delight to listen to one of her audiobooks. Jill makes me laugh so much I am not sure I should listen to her while driving.

I love listening to Jill Conner Browne talk. I love her voice and the way she tells stories, I could listen to her talk all day. By the end of this book, I was even thinking in my head with a little southern draw.

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

I love the positive outlook, she always tells tome great stories that will make you laugh, but makes sure to pull at your heart strings a little bit too.

Laugh out loud funny

Loved this book! Even if you don't live in denial, I would recommend this book for comic relief! Her stories and southern accent makes you forget some of your own stresses! Very enjoyable!

Great entertainment salted with nuggets of wisdom

I was looking for some mindless entertainment and laugh out loud humor. After 2 years of Covid craziness and mass hypnosis this audio book was balm to the soul! I recommend it! It is deeper than it looks!
