A string of bad luck, a coffee thief, and some serious puppy love...
Let’s just say I am having a rough week. My boyfriend walks out on me, and I get evicted from my luxury apartment.

To make matters worse, some guy stole my gourmet coffee right in front of me.

I am so done with men; what I need is a fresh start and a sweet, loyal dog.

After moving to a small town in Vermont, I find the perfect companion. It’s puppy love at first sight. The catch?

The only veterinarian in town is a gorgeous man and my coffee thief.

I want to hate him, but he’s so darn charming.

Fate keeps throwing us together. Seriously, please send help. I think I might be falling for the veterinarian.

Needed a light, short story. Good thing I chose short. I decided to give “virtual” voice a try. First & last time. Though they had both a male and female narration, it was difficult to recall which character was being portrayed, since there is no difference denoting which is speaking. Dual narration is best, since at least real narrators change their voice range to sound like the opposite sex. If you’re not going to pay real narrators, the least Audible could do is make the virtual read in dual male/female voices. And the cadence and inflections are either completely missing, or out of sync with the actual scene, not to mention the mispronunciation of words that are spelled the same, but have completely different meanings.
In short, the authors of books done with virtual voice are being short changed when the listening is so painful.

The horrible virtual voice!!!
