Great beginning for the series

I thoroughly enjoyed learning about Kubu's first cases. The mystery kept me guessing until the end.

Excellent Read

I totally enjoyed Facets of Death, it was well researched and written. Michael and Stanley are accomplished writers. Ben Onwukwe the narrator really pulls the listeners attention with his authentic tone and command. I have been patiently awaiting the next book in the Detective Kubu series.

Wonderful narrator

A prequel to the Detective Kubu series. Features Kubu as he enters the Botswana CID and immediately has to help out in a case involving a huge heist of diamonds from the world's richest diamond mine.

Interesting characters

Not my first Kubu novel, and nice to hear about this “prequel” as his career starts. The reader’s accent was originally a challenge as was recalling names of characters, but was able work through that in time. I desired a written character list so I could put spelling to character names.

Kubu the detective.

the plot was interesting. the unraveling of it was a bit complicated because of the numerous characters. I loved the voice of the narrator but a list of the names of the characters would have helped. Needless to say I liked the introduction of Kubu to the CID.
