Acerca de esta escucha
William Perkins has the gift of gab, and his younger twin, Robert, rarely speaks at all. On the scorching Llano Estacado, the stakes are high as they desperately search for water in a landscape once called the Great American Desert. When William's gifts fail to placate a greedy land speculator, a deadly faceoff ensues. But Robert has an edge: a mysterious power that not even the might of Sam Colt's invention can rival. A storm brews on the High Plains of Texas, and Robert knows how to speak to it.
This is a tale of a world where the Old West meets magic. On the High Plains of Texas, known as the Llano Estacado, Cowboys and Wizards live alongside one another, using their Power and Talent to speak to the wind, call the weather, and even call the dead back to a court of law. Follow the rag-tagged-est bunch of saddle tramps, gunslingers, battle mages, and half-elves as they ride through a world of gun-toting cowboys, mysterious magic, and danger around every corner. Between a hostile environment, rough men, and raw magic, there are a thousand bad ways to die. If you enjoyed Brandon Sanderson's "The Rithmatist", you'll love Cowboys and Wizards.

A short western with a paranormal twist
This is a short cowboy story. I remember watching Gunsmoke with my father when I was a child. Now, when I visit my father-in-law, the same shows are back on. This story definitely had the feel of Gunsmoke to it but with a different type of ending. Plenty of gritty description, and the narration was perfect for the story. Recommended for a one-way commute if Western stories are your thing.
