Excellent, practical teaching on men's purity

Good teaching, more useful and powerful than the more common "sin management" approach to men's purity. Very helpful book.

Great Book

This book has a great way if showing how to look at myself and the women around me. I am a new creation in Christ and therefore I am called to be a protector and not a preditor.

Actual tools for victory, it's all about identity

I was impacted by this book because he walks through the various alternative solutions that all seem to come up short and then explains in detail how to walk in victory over lust.

Very good NOT bad. I give it away with a warning

I should explain. I am older. I have been a follower of Jesus for more than 40 years. Some of that time, religious ( looking for what I could / should do for God [often without asking Him]. Now I look for what We can do together, treasuring the time with Him. )

I have watched a lot of ineffective ideas put forward by the institutional church.

Men have had about all the shame and control that they can take in this area. So, when I give this book away, I tell men that it is not another shaming book filled with a mixture of hopes, fears, and lies. It is full of Jesus, and full of hope.

I know this is written as a book for men, relating to sexual temptation. It is so much more than that. It contains truth, rarely heard in the institutional church, of who Jesus is and what He has done. The truth is freeing for men caught with sexual temptation.

It would be just as freeing for a woman caught with various forms of fantasy or who struggle with disrespecting men / brothers through control or judgment. I hope Jonathan and his wife coauthor a book for women. would love to give a book written by a woman, aimed at women's sins to women so that they can know how great Jesus is too.

The illustrations that come from pornography and sexual temptations are amazingly timely, as there are many dear sons of The Father whose heart's desire is to live and honor women, but have been guided into religious practices and not into the loving arms of their creator.

One of the best books I have ever read… Holy Spirit led me to read this book and I don’t even wrestle w lust/porn. This is after I went through the
Author’s wife’s supernatural childbirth course, and had my own pain-free childbirth by the grace of God . In the course she mentioned her husband and I looked up his books. As said, I don’t struggle with lust/porn… The Lord helped me get free years ago … But after reading this book I know why… This is for every Christian these days. It confirms some revelations God was leading me through and also seriously challenges other beliefs. This book helps conquer in my opinion ANY sin issue or any area where you don’t look like Jesus. My husband is currently walking out full freedom in the area of lust/pornography and I also gained a lot of wisdom from this book on how to be as a wife regarding the situation. Also, as a former sexual abuse survivor, this book was very healing to read, but I would only recommend it if you are more healed than not in that area. God bless this family for this book!
