Resumen del Editor

Exiting the Wilderness is different than most Christian books because it discusses the "elephant-in-room" issues that most Christian books shy away from. In a cordial and diplomatic fashion, the audiobook answers questions about what God says on sensitive issues, but it also explains how his love is intertwined with his commandments. In a day where many tragic events and natural disasters leave people scratching their heads and wondering what's going on, there is no doubt that people are seeking truth. Books that provide an emotional uplift are good, but many of them leave a false assumption about God in terms of what he desires to see from us as a people. The x-factor that sets this book apart from the rest is the ability to answer the tough questions relating to God and its unique way of articulating scriptures in God's word, so that listeners can see how to apply them to their lives.

The book goes into depth about a theme that is well noted in the bible and is used in analogies throughout the Christian faith; the Wilderness. In a particular scripture (1st Corinthians 10, verses 5 & 6), Paul the Apostle writes: "But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted." Paul was referring to the children of Israel's journey after they parted out of Egypt and through Red Sea. Paul colored in a timeless theme in an account that everyone is familiar with regardless of where their faith lies. Exiting the Wilderness expounds on the two verses which were extracted from Paul's letters to the church of Corinth. Using the analogy of the wilderness in relationship to hard times, financial difficulties, natural disasters, and other unexplainable travesties, Exiting the Wilderness describes how God's promises deliver us from such tribulations when we turn to him.
