'I need you,' the tall, ridiculously good-looking missionary had declared, his words reverberating through the entire church. Wait—he wasn’t talking just to Josey? Oops, because suddenly she’s not in Gull Lake, Minnesota anymore. Instead, she's found herself in Moscow, Russia, as a missionary for a whole year. Oy!

Really, she just wanted to escape her chaotic hometown, where her sister ran off and married her ex, and her heart still pines for Chase, 'the one that got away.' But life has a funny way of throwing snowballs, and now she's in Russia, spreading the good word and navigating a land of vodka, fur hats, and passionate hearts.

As she immerses herself in the vibrant Russian culture, from haggling for fruit at the Moscow market to braving the icy weather, Chase's memory lingers…and just when she starts to think she's finally moving on, fate throws them back together. Will Josey take a chance on love and rekindle the flame with her hometown sweetheart, or will she embrace the allure of Russia, and a new love that sets her heart ablaze?

With Susan May Warren's signature blend of humor and heart, "Everything's Coming up Josey" is a vintage rom-com that will leave you laughing, swooning, and rooting for Josey's happily ever after in this hilarious and heartwarming tale.

the narrator, virtual voice was awful. I really liked the wiring style. I wish it was done by a human.

couldn't finish due to narration

The story was very enjoyable. Funny RomCom antics with great relatable characters. The digital naration was tolerable but took a little interpreting in comedic tone and timing.

Cute Story

I enjoyed the story of Josey and her journey to Russia as a missionary. There’s a bit of a love triangle and some roommate drama along with work drama. The storyline kept me engaged. However, virtual voice did not complement the story. A real narrator would have caught the different voice nuances needed to complement the writing.

Good story - prefer a different narration

Could not with the robotic “virtual” voice. I would love to experience listening to this book read by a human with inflection and emotion. I could not finish it. Horrible. Why bother AUDIBLE? Why even publish if you cannot afford to hire a human to record? Waste. I will never listen to virtual voice again.

Virtual Voice is a waste of space in the catalog

I made it 3 hours in and even then it was hard to get that far. I was trying to give this book a chance. Yes the virtual voice was hard to follow at times. Especially when rapid conversations between 3 or more people were involved. But that's not the worst of it. This book is supposed to be about a "missionary" and "love life"? That's a total joke. Josey does not reflect Christ. There were several moments where she wanted to swear, or she was constantly bashing people in her thoughts, she couldn't seem to stop thinking about her being single and that she has not yet had sex. There were other things that she did that instantly blared out "Not a Christian!" Also, the very most important reason to go on a mission field or to be a missionary is because of a calling on you/your life from God. It seemed Josey did not truly have a calling of God to be a missionary. She wanted to go to Russia for new adventures, new opportunities, and to forget Chase. She truly did not want to go to Russia to be a missionary. There's other reasons why I will not finish listening to this book.
