Good god too many details in the narrative

The girl narrator there is just to many details of narrating in between of what she’s doing. Like common seriously continue with the story of what’s happening don’t keep going in to detail of what’s inside your head. I didn’t like they referred Dyan as third person to him self

Didn’t like the female lead

The story in general was pretty good, however I felt like the female character monologue rambled on and on. I also thought some of her decisions didn’t make a lot of sense. But all in all it’s an ok book.

Engaging beginnings

M.O'Keefe new to me author was such a surprise treat at first…

This story offers a gripping start with its story of Annie, who, escaping an abusive relationship, finds refuge in a small town. There, she meets Max, a brooding figure with his own past wounds. The initial chapters are compelling, drawing you into Annie's journey of self-discovery and her developing relationship with Max. However, as the story progresses, I found myself frustrated with some of Annie's decisions, which seemed questionable and detracted from the narrative. The novel concludes with a cliffy, leaving the story unresolved and prompting me to decide whether to continue with the next book. Despite the ending, the book's original premise and emotional depth make it an intriguing read.

Read with no emotion

Every other book I have listen to has been read as if the speaker was the character, not this book. Listening to the book was like listening to nails on chalkboard. I like the story, made a little more from Dylan.

DV and Phone Sex

Pretty good listen. Feels like one book split into two books. Any version of DV is uncomfortable. I hate to hear it. Aside from that the story was great.

loved the story line. kept my intrest, I actually couldn't put it down. narration was perfect!

left unsaid.....

a girl stifled, a woman scorned. a man with a past . the love, the hurt, the past hauntings and trauma.. EVERYTHING a person would want out of a book. so excited to start the next one...

Hot and intriguing.

Great plot and character development. Could not put it down. So glad I can roll right into the second book.

Two broken people who need each other but fight the pull. Liked the story but felt it moved too slow. Will likely continue as both books are part of the new romance package.

could have used less GDs but loved the story and the narrators were amazing. Couldn't stop listening.
