A staggeringly honest account

Jack's memoir will take you on a ride that will steal your breath and return it at seemingly the last possible moment. You may laugh, you will probably cry, and the Lord God will be praised as you read it.

Transparent life story with God's presence

Listening to the narrator's was like listening to a friend share their life story. I appreciated the transparency and details of Jack and Lisa God story of their life. God is so faithful and good.

Answered prayer

Masterpiece beautifully written and such breath of fresh air for the soul of the believers. We do need to take our masks off and let the Lord display power through our brokenness. Thanks to Mr Deere also for shedding light to the dogmas/doctrines raising against the reality and power of the Holy Spirit. I am not Pentecostal but do find author's approach to the matter truthful and balanced.

Great story... I highly recommend reading this book. This book will help you find the meaning of life.

A beautiful story!

This is a beautiful story chronicling man and his walk with the Lord. It's also a story about a family suffering through addiction and the past demons that caused it all. Then breaking those tormenting cycles that many families quietly endure, with GOD's love and grace.

Still another example of how God relentlessly loves and how that love changes a persons life.

Still praying after finishing this heart rending book that candidly and powerfully tells a story about broken people hurting other people and the intervention of God to reveal and to heal.

Encouraging

Perseverance, faithfulness and the power of God are all on display in this book. Really appreciate the candor and humility it too to to write and then perform this work. Thank you.

Our God is so precious. Thank you Jack for sharing your life with this broken person. Alcoholism has ravaged my life and by the grace of God alone I have not had a drink in 13 years. Jack your honesty has caused me great introspection as I find myself hiding behind other addictive behavior thinking my cloak of religiosity will conceal my thoughts of a shame riddled wasted life. Your book has allowed our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to chip away that hardened exterior. God bless you Jackie Deere.

Good Story

Definitely a difficult life story to listen to. A lot to take away and learn from. I appreciate how his life was written about and not just explained through.
