im loving this book

I have only gotten thru half of this book, but I can tell you that it is a very interesting book,very informative.

awful narrator /great story / hardback

Someone told me about this book and said it was a interesting story and I love long reads. the narrator made this book awful. this story could have been told 100% better. so I would recommend a hard back for this book.

never could I have imagined the cruelty experienced by Ingrid Betancourt. it is one thing to hear the news of her being a hostage, and quite another to learn about what it was like ... it is beautifully written

Hope where there was none

How does one endure unimaginable circumstances like the ones endured in the jungles of Columbia? I am amazed & inspired. The end is worth the wait.

Must Read

Saw this woman on a TV show and found her story interesting . I never purchase a hard cover edition. I did on this book. Read it and was amazed at this story. Highly Recommended. If you listen to any book this DECADE. Make it this one. A woman held for seven years in the jungles and escapes. Well written and well presented Intelligently compiled and is a good read.

Impressive

It truly immersed you in what happened on a day to day basis with examples that take you to that place. I am glad you got out and that under those terrible conditions you did everything you had to do to survive as a lady.

A Very Inspiring Book

Never Say Never because after listening to this book I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Meh...

I think that this book was very interesting sometimes. The survival violence phenomena that you see even among the prisoners, the details of what it meant to be a prisoner in the amazon and her feelings and thoughts were eye openers.It would make a great movie, because it does have does highlights worth telling. But I feel the book was a little too long and redundant. I don't regret listening to it, but I would not go back to listen again.
