Resumen del Editor

When Erin, Ohio native Jamie Ellicott returns home as best-selling author James Ivanhoe after a 13-year absence, it’s like the return of the Prodigal Son. His ill and aging father welcomes him with open arms. Ivanhoe’s two brothers, however, are less forgiving.

The whole town gets drawn into the family drama when Ivanhoe seeks to march in the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade under the banner of an anti-technology group called the Ned Ludd Society. That’s a thumb in the collective eye of his siblings, who own a company that makes microcircuits.

As a member of the parade committee, St. Benignus University communications director Jeff Cody has a stake in what soon becomes a heated national debate. But to his genius brother-in-law Sebastian McCabe, the contretemps becomes less important than investigating murder in the Ellicott family.

Erin Go Bloody once again demonstrates the skill that caused best-selling novelist Bonnie MacBird to call Dan Andriacco “a master of mystery plotting”.

McCabe and Cody are Classic

All through these books there is a subtle reference to McCabe and Cody being a modern day American Holmes and Watson. It seem that's what Andriacco wants us to think.

That's completely irrelevant and I think very far fetched. Holmes was never a "loveable character" like McCabe is, and Watson never displayed the drive and ingenuity that come readily to Cody. These two stand on their own and I hope to listen to many more instalments of this pair.

Fantastic!

Well, I love this series, so there will be no surprise when I'll say that I loved this book.

The characters are si delightful as ever (with the addition of Jeff's newborn daughter!) but this time the mystery was particularly good. The whole thing is utterly convoluted, but in a good way because everything falls in its place at the end: there are clues that were obvious... once Sebastian McCabe explained them to me *laughs* No, seriously, when he was talking, explaining what had been done and how, half of the time I was 'Oh, my God, how could I've forgotten about that?!'

And I really scream in delight at the end and wanted to high-five Oscar and give him a big hug. You'll have to read/listen to the story to know why, though :P

I loved that, even when Jeff could understand what drove the killer to commit murder, he still never come even close to justifying it.

Also, now I want to read those books that McCabe gave to Jeff *laughs*

Another excellent story in this series!

Great addition to a good series

I didn't see it coming. I was so engrossed listening to the story, and then it all goes sideways. I was totally clueless as to the villain until it was revealed and why. I would have never guessed it went down that way. I was into the flow and the narrator's voice carried me along, and it seemed it was over too soon for me. I loved it. Good storyline and easy to get caught up in it all. Very entertaining. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life.
