Argument for the sake of argument! He prefers his argument and his right to argue over connection with his mate.

This is the most relatable episode I’ve heard so far! Great performances, great story! Thank you!

Best episode so far!

This is my favorite episode by far and has resonated more with me than any other. I love this entire series and I feel like it is helping me learn and grow so much. I don’t know what it is but hearing about other people facing the same problems makes me feel like it is more possible to manage my own. Thank you Esther Perel, Audible and the couples for sharing this with all of us!

This is my life

Gosh! These sessions are opening my mind to how marriages go soooo horribly wrong even when 2 people really want it to go right! the information here is GOLD!!! Thank you Esther.

These podcasts are AMAZING!

That these 2 are separated and seeing other people is actually the least of their problems. Hearing the patterns of habitual toxicity by both people here made this the most pessimistic episode from either season of Where Should We Begin. Nothing was revealed about the couple's post-therapy future but I just can't imagine it having ended well. They couldn't even keep from attacking under the best possible circumstances.

Toxic and mercurial

Speaks exactly to a relationship of mine that just blew up. All of the tumultuous fighting.

OMG this one is amazing!

I didn't enjoy the couple's story as much as some of the others, but the author's commentary on things she wished in retrospect that she had done differently was very interesting!

Good self-critique of a therapist's own session!

As soon as the lady said she had married her husband because he was broken and she wanted to fix him, I thought “Game Over.” Slightly whiny self-absorbed people rehearse their petty domestic antagonisms, without humor or affection.
No glimmers of insight or hope here, except to realize how tedious these stuck-in-a-broken-marriage grievances truly are.

Depressing and banal
