Acerca de esta escucha

The bewitching, much-anticipated conclusion of the award-winning Pride and Prejudice variation!

Elizabeth and Darcy dream of a peaceful life together in idyllic Pemberley, but when rumors start circulating that Napoleon intends to invade the Kingdom by sea, they are sent with a group of Royal Mages to the coast of Kent to discover the truth.

But the truth is hidden under multiple layers of uncertainty, and they soon suspect they have been lured into a trap. Faced with danger and betrayal, Elizabeth and Darcy must depend on each other to survive. Will their circumstances bring them closer together, or tear them apart? Will the war ever allow Elizabeth and Darcy's love to blossom? And—most importantly—what sacrifices must they make to find their well-deserved happiness?

I intended to give two stars but gave one since I had given one already for the previous volume for the same story.
The great, talented, smart mage of mages EB runs around steep in self pity, discouragement, and unfulfilled desires for ninety nine percent of the book. That should be my life as I seek escape in a good story, not the life of the MCs. Saying that the leading characters have strong feeling of foreboding multiple times (that she can never pinpoint and that she decides to forget because there is nothing she can do about it) does not make the book interesting. When Napoleon escapes from Elba, I sincerely hope he can put me out of my literature misery by invading, conquering, and occupying. Unfortunately, I remember my French history.
I might be spared the doldrum of the constant repeat of how he gets enthralled by her beautiful dark eyes and how she almost swoons by his dark handsome feature, as EB and FD have taken the next step after getting married.

Please make it interesting for your readers and not the"laver, rincer, répéter" boring cycle.
