Resumen del Editor

Declan Wilder has never met a witch he didn't hate. He is in the business of protecting the world from all things paranormal, after all. But what happens when one glimpse at an enchanting McKenna Sawyer sends him spinning? Suddenly, Declan can't help but question everything he thought he knew about the world he's been sworn to protect for so long.

Plagued by her parents' death, McKenna Sawyer has no interest in anything outside of her family's business and her sister's happiness. So when she's assigned to warn a pursuer about his impending death, she's less than prepared for the way he shifts her world on its axis. And when more time spent with him leads to more secrets about their world revealed, they must decide how their universes fit together - if at all.

The paranormal world is gearing up for a fight, and both Declan and McKenna have been called to battle. But the question remains - will they be fighting for or against each other?

The perfect weekend listen!

4.5 Stars!!

Overall: Overall, the Enchanting Wilder audiobook is a great listen with good narration and an awesome paranormal romance.

Performance: Amelie Brown does a great job bringing McKenna and Declan’s story to life. She narrates with ease, doesn’t force the voices and uses tone and the perfect amount of inflection without overdoing it.

The Story: Think Supernatural meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer and you get Enchanting Wilder, an enchantingly witchy read! Cassie Graham took her imagination and creative license and brought us a world of supernatural beings that have you wondering who is really good and who is really bad. Underneath all of the supernatural goodness is the romance blooming between McKenna and Declan. It’s epic from the moment they meet.

Not for me

The fact that this took me nearly two years to finish listening to probably says it all. In fact, the only reason I finished it was because I'm trying to clear up my 'Currently Reading' list and I don't plan on starting a DNF shelf just yet!

I really just couldn't get into it, despite a highly interesting opening with a lot of potential. As the story progressed, it became more and more preposterous and repetitive, and absolutely forced. My suspension of disbelief just didn't happen here; it was as if Graham wanted to tie up too many loose ends into too tight a bow.

I also didn't really enjoy the narration of this one. It didn't flow well enough for me. Overall, this one just wasn't for me, I'm afraid.
