After a fraught divorce, she felt a need to recapture her own voice and expand her world, and so she set out to the Himalaya with the goal of telling a story worthy of National Geographic.

Kim, thank you for taking us with you to learn about the plight of our Asian Elephant Sisters, who, like us, want to mother their children as best as they possibly can, while navigating an ever changing world. There are no happenstances. Just 6 days before I learned about and purchased your audio book, I personally had a profound experience with a 58 year old Matriarch of a captive herd. She is two years older than me, and I was completely aware that I was in the presence of greatness. I could feel her communicating with me, and I was moved to tears from her wisdom, kindness, and compassion. As I read about your own tearful encounters, I understood that you have also experienced the gift of that kind of communication.
