Interesting audiobook

This was an interesting audiobook that is packed with tips, info and guidance. Poor communication or lack of communication or even unclear communication can and often does contribute to many challenges. I liked the way this covered many of these areas and much more which should be very helpful for communicators.

This audiobook delivers exactly what the title promises—communication strategies tailored for men who want to speak more confidently, stand their ground, and avoid being manipulated. The structure is solid and moves logically from foundational concepts to advanced techniques, and finally to defense and persuasion. It’s easy to follow and well-narrated, making it a good companion for commutes or gym time.

That said, while I enjoyed the overall content, a lot of the “secrets” felt pretty basic. Things like making eye contact, speaking clearly, or avoiding filler words—these are Communication 101 tips. They’re definitely important, especially for someone just starting their self-improvement journey, but they didn’t feel like revelations if you’ve read similar books before.
However, the value really starts to shine in Part Three (Protect Yourself From Manipulation) and Part Four (Master Ethical Persuasion). These sections go beyond the usual advice and offer more practical, scenario-based guidance on dealing with gaslighting, setting boundaries, and influencing others without being pushy. Truly Great Listen

I absolutely needed this audiobook! I have been having a lot of trouble communicating with my wife lately (her words, not just mine!), but this book has been a life saver. I think more men need to listen to things like this to avoid trouble in their marriage. Hopefully we're on the up and up from here!

Every now and again you get a refresher course on certain key aspects of living your best life. This is one of them. Great reminder of how to listen effectively, and I mean really listen. My wife is happy...I'm happy!
