The Cahill Chronicles, Book 2

The Cahill sisters face new threats after defeating a coven. A dark entity, the Umbra, arises, and they seek the Shadow Stone to stop it. They battle Silas, who wants to unleash the Umbra, but are betrayed by Mrs. Abernathy. In the Blackwood Mine, they confront illusions and Silas, leading to Samantha becoming tainted by the Umbra.

The Obsidian Circle, a hidden society, emerges, manipulating events and targeting Samantha. She flees, encounters Lyra (a Circle member), and is eventually reunited with her sisters. They face the Overseer, but Samantha sacrifices herself to destroy the Umbra's nexus. The Overseer gains the Shadow Stone, and a corrupted Samantha returns, now an enemy, ready to unleash darkness.
