Holly Rupert is new to Chicago but not police work. She wants to prove that she belongs on the Murder Task Force and didn't get the job just because her uncle heads it up. When she's injured the first day on the job, she wakes up to the kind gaze of Gabe Marsden. He is a former Army Medic who now works as an orthopedic tech. Later, when Gabe witnesses the body of a homeless man being stolen from the hospital morgue, he shares his concerns with Holly. Then his apartment is firebombed, and they realize he has discovered a lucrative mafia enterprise. As the couple flees, they are trying to stay one step ahead of a hitman. While depending on each other, will they stay alive long enough to explore the spark between them? And will they be able to figure out who is behind the missing bodies?
