A Practical Overview

The author has clearly spent a great deal of time researching all these trades, and the real-life stories of families living them. It is a great introduction to the trades, and contains real, practical advice for people looking to enter them. A fantastic book.

Very thought-provoking book

Mr. Groves has completed an astounding amount of research to write this book. I appreciate his explanation of the Industrial Revolution and also of dozens of different trades. Work is truly a dignified task. Delightful book. Highly recommended!
