first time listening to this author. I enjoyed the story. The narration was very easy to follow and made the story quite enjoyable

It was a delightful fun Whodunit Mystery that held my attention from the first chapter. I can relate to Heddy the Main character.

During one of her scavenging trips, she discovers the body of a young woman she cared about and becomes determined to solve the murder. Enlisting the help of her ghostly husband and weary sister, Henny dives headfirst into danger—unaware that the killer is very close and watching her every move.

Michelle Bennington has created a thoroughly enjoyable cozy mystery filled with charming characters, relatable moments, and a storyline that flows effortlessly. The dialogue feels natural and true to each scene, and while the plot isn’t overly complex, it’s entertaining and keeps you hooked.

Waverley Manson’s narration is truly impressive—I honestly thought there were two narrators at first! Her ability to shift seamlessly between male and female voices is both convincing and a delightful surprise. With clear delivery, well-paced timing, and just the right emotional tone, she brings the story to life and heightens the listening experience.

Together, the author and narrator make this cozy mystery a standout—engaging, immersive, and hard to pause!

As a result, this book is being awarded the Audiobookreviewer’s Choice Award as it deserves higher than the standard five star review.
