Victoria has always dreamed about what life would be like in a Jane Austen novel. Stately homes, enormous grounds, living the life of an Elizabethan high-class lady … not to mention the thought of a handsome Mr. Darcy waiting on her every word. Her real life is anything but that. Actually, the whole thing has just come crashing down: her fiancé has turned out to be a cheat, and Victoria is staying with a friend while she attempts to get her life in order. Then there’s the matter of the minor car crash she’s responsible for—which would be bad enough on its own, except she also happens to collide with Mr. Charles Dowling, the director and owner of the company she works at.
