As a child, Nancy Marie Barnes whiled away the hours doodling—a seemingly innocuous pastime, but it would prove that practicing creative skills in any form or fashion can yield life-changing results.

And so it was for Nancy, who, through making something every day, came to realize that she wanted to make that something even bigger than the pages of her private notebooks. She went on to discover different methods to paint and draw, which helped her to define her style as similar to the ancient Japanese Hitofude-Ryuu-Like approach, otherwise known as the “one stroke technique.”

In this collection of artwork that spans from the 1980s to present day, Nancy showcases some of her favorite pieces, as well as some never seen before.
