A shocking find. A search for answers. And a journey to the brink of madness.

When her older brother, Felix, dies in a motorcycle accident, Nora Lambert is left to clear out his London flat, home to his prestigious artwork and life’s work. But among his possessions, she stumbles upon something far more disturbing.

A hidden USB stick. A file marked “Nobody’s Eyes.” Something she was never meant to see.

What she watches is beyond comprehension. A collection of disturbing clips that appear to be real snuff footage. And the most terrifying part? She thinks Felix might be in the film.

Is this a twisted art project or something far more sinister?

Determined to uncover the truth, Nora plunges into a shadowy world of dark web conspiracies, underground collectors, and depraved obsessions. The deeper she digs, the more she realises someone doesn’t want her asking questions.

Because some doors should never be opened, and some secrets are worth killing for.

Recieved as a review copy from Booksirens, this is an honest review.

Audiobook received from the author to review. Narrated breathtakingly by Louise Rook Schofield, that elevates a very disturbing tale.

Author Robert W. Kirby's Don't Look Away as absolutely a tour De Force of a psychological thriller that's hauntingly wicked and totally unforgettable.

Nora's life is broken with the unexpected death of her nrother, Felix; as she works to put to close her brother's estate, the discovery of a USB memory stick alters everything Nora thought knew of her brother. While she knew of Felix's off the wall, dark, edgy paintings but a snuff film? Soon, Nora is obsessing searching frame by frame how to find out how this harrowing, bizarre film is connected to Felix. The path that Nora and her brother's friend, Julian is discovery it's a if they've been plunged into a starkly dark version of Alice in Wonderland: every corner they turn only ignites more secrets and dangerous threats. When Nora's journey takes her to a crumbling mansion... she finds a haunting truth Nora could have ever imagined. Turning the dark home into in all out for survival for Nora and Julian.

Survival means living with terrifying nightmares.

This is the first book I've read/listened to by Robert W Kirby. It's not my normal genre so I may be way off base, but it seemed to not only be mystery, Thriller, and suspense, but horror as well. I had to take breaks listening. I have to say I wanted to know the outcome! The twist and turns had me in suspense wondering what was happening.

Louis Rook Schofield is a great narrator. He brought the book to life with an emotional performance. Well done!

Horror?

I was expecting a psychological thriller but I would actually put this more in the horror category. It kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. It was intense, captivating and gruesome. I had a hard time deciding who could be trusted and who couldn't. The answer is trust no one and expect the unexpected. Nora was thrown into a web of terror, lies and deceit thanks to the death of her brother. This was a very good story and I have gone back and forth about whether this was a 4 or 5 star book. Ultimately, I went with 4 stars because it was a bit more horror than I would like. If that's your thing, though, then I would highly recommend this book. Louise Rook Schofield did a good job bringing this story to life.

what a wild ride!!!

I read The Visit by Rob but honestly, that book has nothing compared to this one.

It is dark and full of revelations, you aren't sure you want to know. I was absolutely engrossed in this book the entire time and needed to know what happened next.

Then as the mystery is unraveling and you figure out what's happening -- it just hits the psychological part.

This book was so cleverly written and I am so excited for more of his books. Definitely one of the best psychological thrillers I have read.

Louise does such an amazing job narrating this. I was so involved and her narration really helped keep me on the edge of my seat.

When I started this book I didn't expect to get pulled into the story as much as I did. I couldn't stop listening wanting to find out what would happen next. It had me hooked! I can understand the way Nora kept going wanting to find out everything she could, but at the same time like girl look at the signs. I was definitely worth the read.

I did the audiobook which was really well done. The narration really brought the characters out. Will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat.

The suspense!
