Resumen del Editor

Think of a cross between Doctor Strangelove and The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

Don is a clerk in the Quick Stop convenience store with a problem: He suddenly can’t remember his past or what he’s doing here. He thinks maybe he’s an angel sent on a mission. With Sancha, his only friend and fellow clerk, Don and Sancha of the Q set out on a quest to do some good and find out why he’s here.

Maybe it has something to do with the stolen atomic bomb in Don Q’s basement.

Maybe.

"Don of the Q is highly recommended as an original, involving read that pushes the boundaries of comedy, stormy relationships, and social commentary alike." (D. Donovan, Senior Reviewer, Midwest Book Review)

Modernly refreshing take on Don Quixote, great read

I’ll start this review with stating that I received this for free in exchange for an honest review, and I thoroughly enjoyed it and would pay for it outright. The narrator and author’s styles completed each other well. This story has several moments that caused me to laugh out loud in my car, but quite a few that are also rather heartfelt and earnest for a sad situation in modern life. The story had a quick yet well paced lead up to the end, and the characters were realistic yet very slightly “overdone” for purposes of storytelling.

I’d highly recommend this to my friends and family and I’ve already purchased the author’s other book and anxious to get started.

Can I give this listen 6 stars??!!!

This. Book. Was. Excellent. I don't even know where to begin...

This book was clever.
This book had a great cast of characters.
This book played with your perceptions.
This book made me laugh. (Don learning to ride a scooter had me in tears!!)
This book made me cry.
This book had a bomb.
Oh, and I should add that this book had a great impersonation of 43.

It's hard to give a clear review about this book without giving away this wonderful and ingenious plot. Suffice it to say, Don the Q is easily one of the best characters I've ever had the pleasure.

This is an incredibly special book and the narration keeps pace. Woodrich was tasked with some seriously unique persona and he knocked. it. out. of. the. park.

There is no way this book can be a series and that's an immense shame.

Not your father's Don Quixote

When the Man of La Mancha comes to Huntsville AL and even finds a windmill to tilt you know it's going to be like no other book you've listened to.
Don finds himself on a mission to save his world from all its ills with his very own Sancho, Dulcinea and a cast of fun, quirky and definitely unforgettable characters. But soon, real life, the Atomic Age, threaten our timeless hero in ways that will have you laughing and hanging out in the driveway for the few extra minutes to get to the next chapter.
The narrator is very good at bringing all the characters to life and giving them each their own personality
All in all, a very enjoyable listen.
