Dominate Flag Football discusses defensive philosophy and why we coach our players to never turn their backs on the football. They must always be watching the ball. We also talk about why we always play a zone defense and why that makes the most sense for flag football. We also discuss how to quickly switch to man defense in case the team we are playing decides to come out passing and is actually good at passing. Also included is a run blitz and goal line style defense.

We focus on defense first and foremost, because that's what will set up our offense and special teams. We almost never have allowed positive yardage. Most of the teams we have coached have always forced the other team to go backwards. Very few teams have actually racked up positive yards against us.

The second half of the book gets into offensive philosophy. We discuss why you never actually need a running back on offense. How to use your quarterback properly. How to get the defense going in the wrong direction, mind tricks you can play on defenses, and how you can get the defense to do exactly what you want. We discuss adjustments you can make if they are playing you man versus zone defense and how to adjust based on their strengths. If they are biting on fakes and misdirections, then you can use them more often. However, if they are slow or staying disciplined, then you need to adjust to that as well.
