Dog Tags for Christmas is a Christmas short story in the heart-warming series, Dog Tails.

Willa Rayne’s spent her life doing what's expected of her. Now she has a great job and a house of her own, but where's the romance in her life? All of that changes when she bakes cookies for a soldier.

Eben Yates has an important decision to make. Should he stay in the Army? He's been on three deployments, and he misses the States. When he finds a stray in a nearby village and discovers he can bring Hero back, the dog, and Willa, give him reasons to start a new life and come home.

Eben and Willa's Internet relationship deepens. Will they find the family they both want for Christmas...plus a barking bonus?

I have never read a military story I haven’t loved especially when you add in all the holiday magic and an adorable dog. This is a must read this holiday season.

Military Christmas

My first listen after joining Audible Escape . . . so I haven't lost anything . . . but I couldn't stick with this one. I'm the mom of two soldiers and wife of a retired soldier, and I have to say that the author hasn't done her research. The communication between deployed soldiers and folks back home is NOT so open as portrayed here, and a civilian could never offer up solutions to military problems. The premise of the book is sweet . . . too sweet. The narration sounds like a girl reading a book . . . which I suppose she is. I was so excited to listen to this one, as I love military AND Christmas stories. But this one failed on both counts. It may hit the mark for others, who have little experience with the military.

Ugh . . . Unrealistic and Narrator Sounds Bored
