Once upon a time, I was the heir to my family's seat on the High Council of Witches. After one horrific night, the Council was no more and all the families went into hiding. When all hell broke loose, they were able to disappear. Now fate has brought Atherton Blackwoods into my life, and we come to realize we're made to be together. But it's not that simple. By coming together, we'll set into motion a destiny neither one of us could ever have predicted. Are we willing to put our lives on the line to break the cycle of destruction?

Discovering Destiny is a story featuring an adorably awkward witch who can talk to plants, a protective witch who can cause lightening strikes at awkward times, questionable art, strange dreams, a prophesy (there's always a prophecy, right) and cat and magpie familiars who can't seem to shut up or get along.

*sigh*

I really enjoyed this story when I read it but man, the voice the narrator gave Toby just gets on my nerves, literally. It's like nails on a chalkboard. *shudders*
If it weren't for that high pitched whiney voice it would have been a mostly enjoyable listen, but I just can't get past it.
I'm really hoping either the narrator does a better job in book 2 or they replace him completely.
