Great Start to the Series!

This was my first Serenity Rayne's book. This is the first book in The Dark Angel Chronicles Series, a Paranormal RH Romance. I liked Thana (a female Nephilim, with both Light and Dark Angel), and her four mates Raphael (an Archangel), Cyrus (a Dark Nephilim, and the son of Death himself), Christian/Chris (an Angel, and a warrior), and Gage (a mute Nephilim). The characters are intriguing. Thana is a wonderful character, strong, feisty, independent, passionate, and determined. Her mates are very protective, and mysterious. The world building is interesting. I liked the mystery, the romance, the tension, the action, and the twists and turns. This was an interesting introduction to the series. The story ends with a cliffhanger, and I am looking forward for more in the series. Allyson Voller and Christian Black did an amazing job with the narration. #TheFlock

holly 💩 talk about a plot twist, not only one but like 3. dang this book is so good I could listen to it over and over. I really can't wait till the next book comes out. I do hope soon. the narrator's did a really good job too.

Great start!

I had so much fun listening to this story. And the duel narration made it even better. The characters felt very real and the world was engrossing. I didn’t want to stop listening to it. Thana was a very interesting character with both light and dark in her. She didn’t apologize for either side of her nature and it kept me curious about her. The relationships and bonds with her harem develop nicely some are farther along than others. Though one of her guys made me want to smack him a lot of the time. I’m really excited for the next book since I want to see their relationships develop more and also find out more about what’s going on with their world.

Paranormal Romance

Discovered by Serenity Rayne is a paranormal romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Allyson Voller and Christian Black. This is the first book in The Dark Angel Chronicles.

This is the first book of Serenity's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I really enjoyed the relationship that is blooming between Thana, Raphael, Christian, Gage, and Cyrus. I can't wait for the next book in the series Innate to be released on audio so I can get more of their story.

Allyson and Christian did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like paranormal romances, fantasy romances, reverse harem romances, or occult romances.

Audiobook Obsession Reviewer

Excellent!!

I am a big fan of this book. I listened to it on audio and I am so glad I did. It gave it a little something extra. The one thing I found to be really disappointing was that when I checked for book #2, It was not on audible yet! AHHH.

One thing that I really appreciated is that there aren't 10 full chapters of only sex. I can appreciate the sex scenes. I enjoy them. I just need a good story to go with it. There are definitely some great sex scenes in here. But not so many that you forget the story by the time everything is said and done. I never thought I'd be so into these reverse harem books. I should have known, the Anita Blake books by LKH have been my favorite series since I was in middle school. Can you believe I found the first book in that series, Guilty Pleasures, in my Middle School Library? Crazy! I even had the Librarian order me the next in the series! (But I still don't support all this book burning!) lol But I digress.

Lastly, I 100% recommend this book. It's probably not for prudes, or people sensitive to a fiction novel about angels and such. But other than that, this book was so much fun. And I'll be on the lookout for book #2 on audible. I have a feeling... it's gonna be great!

First Book: Ending Leaves Room for Improvement

I was drawn to this story because it had the makings of a really good reverse harem: Arch/angels, Light/Dark Nephilm, Death, etc. I would have liked more backstory so that the insta-love (through the mate bonding process) felt like a natural progression. Also, how is that that some of these supernatural beings could survive hundreds of years without love and flight? I was surprised when I learned about that. Something was just missing for me so I didn't connect with the characters as much as I'd have liked. The narrators' performances were very good. Please do more duets where the female does the female voices and vice versa. This is #1 in The Dark Angel Chronicles and my first book by Serenity. Because I love all things PNR, I obviously had to give this book a try after reading the blurb and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Enthralling Paranormal Story

This was my first experience with Serenity Rayne's work, and it was fascinating. This was my first experience with what is known as the reverse harem genre as multiple partners have never really appealed to me. My excuse was that I didn't read the blurb closely enough; however, while listening to the audiobook, I sort of felt like this might be what some women would describe as heaven: four attractive males doting on oneself and making the female the most important center of the group. There were steamy parts to this story. I was glad that there was more to the tale. Allyson Voller's and Christian Black's dual narrations added some entertainment to the story. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Enjoyed it

Discovered was my first book by Serenity Rayne and I loved it. The author created a fabulous world with Nephilim, Angels and Fallen that was creative and had me hooked from beginning to end. This is a why choose romance and while the guys were all protective over her, I can't wait to see how their relationship evolves as the series progresses. The story gave us action, romance, mystery and some secrets being revealed and I can't wait to see what's coming next. It was a great start to this series and I would recommend it to paranormal romance lovers.

I listened to the audible version of this novel and I loved it. The narrators did a great job with giving the characters their own voice and emotions. Their voices were clear and understandable and they made it an enjoyable listening experience.
