as the new year approaches, I needed a push for self discipline. came across this, and took a chance. quite happy with the book, and how Ryan Holiday gets you to turn inward to reevaluate what matters to you.
more contemplative than a plainly written road map.
I'm quite pleased.

Runs the gamut

From Lou Gehrig to the Queen, this book examines discipline from a broad range of topics, techniques, and those who have used discipline to make themselves succeed and the people around them more successful as well.

Great Book And Author

Ryan is a magnificent writer and all his books are well worth reading. So are his daily dad and daily Stoic emails. Like all of his books, this one is a gem and worth lots of reflection and hopefully implementation.

He inspired me to clean my cluttered office! For this David Copperfield would be jealous! I enjoy the way Ryan explains sometimes century old texts into clear and concise concepts.
