Great retelling of the habits of an extraordinary man as they relate to the finer things…food, booze and cigars. Enjoy!

I loved this book. I felt transported back and in the room, in every moment described. The narrator is stellar. I will search out her other narration jobs on Audible. Highly recommend this book.

Food for Thought

If you love food, wine and Churchill, you will love this book. I will listen to it multiple times. The immense details about Churchill’s food and drink are amazing and entertaining. I highly recommend this book to every Churchill fan!

No study of Churchill would be complete without this book. I would never have believed a food book would have this importance.

Excellent book

Wonderful.
The author takes you right to the historic places.
Between Roosevelt, Stalin and Truman, With Foie gras, clear soup and cigars.
Well researched and made me want to try a few of those recipes.

A unique read

This is a pretty good read for easy reading on history. I can’t say I loved it but I certainly didn’t hate it. A fun look at some of Churchill’s quirks.

This was well done, it captured a whole lot of different aspects of his life. If you enjoy all things Churchhill, you will enjoy this.

An enjoyable, perfectly-paced bio through the lens of Churchill’s passion for Britain, food and drink and his skills of diplomacy, much told with the backdrop of WW11. Davina Porter lends her expert narration, making this an overall great Audible experience.
