Action moves to the Navajo Nation
This book is a direct continuation of Ancient Evil Arrives, Book One of the Tarskyne Cabal series
It continues that completed tale and builds upon it. In fact, it starts with a report on the week after the end of Tue and Freau’s Minnesota parental visit. It’s a separate story with many new characters. But it continues the lives and call of Denzell and Raquel Trujillo [who are also known as Tue & Freau], a young couple around twenty years old, in Albuquerque, New Mexico a little while in the future. In this story, the action moves to the Navajo Nation, the Diné people.
As you can imagine, the Lord does marvelous things. That’s who He is. It’s a direct outgrowth out of His character.
My purpose in my believing fiction is to show a rare, but realistic, vision of what the life of a believer in Jesus looks like when he or she simply follows the lead of the Lord—trusting the One who is able. Almost everything I share in the lives of my characters, I have experienced in my fifty years of walking with the Lord.
The Tarskyne Cabal series is the 1st 4 books of The Fortresses of the Messiah saga which is the direct result of the six years spent in full-time direct discipline and discipleship under Yeshua Messiah from January 2020 until the end of 2025. I am in the process revising, editing, proofing, and rewriting the entire saga. By the grace of the Lord, I will have that completed before the end of January 2026. My sabbatical year with the Lord, 2025, will end tonight at midnight. A new adventure has begun,
My hope is to show a contemporary tale of what the Lord is hoping for from His people as they walk out their daily lives. I don’t see it as my job to force you to endure the horrible things which happen to Christians who do not walk in faith by the power of the Holy Spirit. Of course, my characters who get saved in the course of the book have troubles before they meet the Lord. That will always happen.
In my books, the Lord calls many different characters into salvation: rebirth and the filling of the Holy Spirit. You give them work to do to rescue people in the midst of the oppression and torture of the demonic.
Most of my life has been spent fighting this battle. My blood father, who mentored me for the first two years after Jesus called me, had a deliverance ministry. He ministered to addicts, the imprisoned, the oppressed, and the possessed. He told me all the time that his experience was that addicts could be completely delivered, cold turkey, with a simple exorcism. Of course, to keep it, these delivered people had to turn to Jesus completely. Sadly, many do not—often because they are not taught what is possible.
Moreover, I can’t edify you by saying many do not. My goal is to build you up in the Lord by sharing the times when people do turn to Jesus and simply believe what He tells them. The lives of people who simply have faith are remarkable—with daily testimonies of wonderful things done for them by the King who called them and loves them.
I’m embarrassed to say that I lived many years in the Lord before I began to live this way consistently. But He was merciful and showed me how to do it as I turned toward him more and more. Now my life comes close to matching what my characters experience in these books. My calling may not be as large, but the presence and working of the Holy Spirit is the same. Alleluia!
