This 1769 edition is highly sought after due to being more reader/listener friendly than the 1611 since many typos were fixed.... Timely and multilayered!
A story of people from different cultural backgrounds and their chances in life merely based on the fact where they were born. Different perspectives are well described. Glattauer examines the struggles of many immigrants who risk everything in the hope of a better life in Europe by waving a compelling story.
