I did not care for the AI generated voice. The tempo was off.

Virtual voice is bad

What is the point of using virtual voice, it ruined the story and the experience.

Great story!

The virtual narration sounded mechanical, with lack of inflection, which I had to apply. Distracting and annoying. Ruined what could and should have been an enjoyable read. Definitely not a fan of virtual narration!

Great story, but awful robotic voice performance.

I've loved all of the previous books in this series, which is why I stuck with this one until the end. If it had been longer, I don't think I could've handled the creepy robot voice. It was the absolute worst voice performance of any audio book I've listened to (at well over 400 and counting).

A cute, quick, read

I greatly disliked the voice of the reader. The story was fine, but the narrator made it flat.

Something Lost in the Translation??

Not sure how to rate this one! I’ve enjoyed all the other books in this series so far, but this one is a little different. The usual POV (Ellison Russell) is replaced by her housekeeper, Angie, so I guess that’s why we don’t get our usual wonderful narrator. Instead we get Virtual Voice (!), which becomes pretty amusing in its own right. I had to laugh at some of the translations and inaccurate inflections which, as I said, provided an additional layer of amusement to the story which was, actually, just okay after all!

However, I would recommend listening to this selection for the following reasons: it’s free with Audible Plus; it’s very short (less than an hour; and, it’s very entertaining, especially if you’ve never listened to a Virtual Voice narration! Check it out!! ☺️

Story line was enjoyable. the AI reading is poor and does not work for reading a book. Will not select AI readings in the future.

The AI voice was disappointing for Aggy. I imagined for a boho character that her personality would really shine…. Nope! …. Disappointment now in a really fun listening pleasure..
