I have come a long way to watch myself die.

I am Lucas, and my life on Earth has not gone well.

To start anew, I plan to exile myself to Mirrorrealm and to burn the bridge that connects the realms, so that no one, especially not my daughter, can follow me.

Very nice of me, I know.

Yet over my life, I have unintentionally twisted, corrupted, or straight-up demolished everything good I have ever touched.

Including her.

Now, I have to face the consequences of that, because an artifact has appeared, most likely from the future, and it has landed on my birth home.

Coincidence?

No.

Me from the future has apparently sent it to my current self.

I have to see the package, but my daughter got to it first, and she's not letting me anywhere close to it.

However, what would normally be a simple family feud is, in our case, a worldwide crisis.

We are two of the five rulers of the supernatural underworld, so each of us has an army, a nuclear arsenal, apocalyptic-tier magical powers, multiple doomsday weapons, and a never-back-down attitude.

Yet one of us will have to back down.

And it's not going to be me.

Because I never back down.
