Lately I’ve been on a Vin Zandri binge, my latest story was Deranged Fan. I’m torn on how to feel after listening to this book. Initially I thought I had made a mistake and started a book I had read previously, but that feeling lasted all of 3 minutes and suddenly I realized I was wandering around in the world of a tortured author with more issues than I ever considered possible. Thank heavens they weren’t contagious.

This is the third story in the A Thriller series that I’ve read or listened to, while it I a good story with plenty of twists I’m still trying to figure out where it fits in my “list” when compared with the other two. I will say I was entertained from the start to the end so maybe ranking against its peers isn’t that important. The virtual voice narration worked well; however, it would be great if it could do male and female voices – maybe in the next iteration.

glad it wasn't long

a few inconsistencies caught me off guard in the writing. the main character had a shoulder holster but then it's on his hip, types of vehicles... other than that, the computer narrator was better than I expected but the story became cheesy and predictable. "the struggling alcoholic writer who's broke" blah blah blah.
