Denisa, The Castellan's Daughter is an inspirational romantic fantasy set in the medieval-like island continent of Penruddock.
When Denisa is a child, she's betrothed to Karsten, the young, orphaned son of friends of her parents. He leaves his homeland, the kingdom of Corby, to start a profession on a nearby kingdom where he went to school to learn to be a scribe, so he can return one day to marry her when she's of age. He's kidnapped by slave dealers and sold eventually to the king of another distant kingdom. Ten years after he was enslaved, he has the opportunity to return to Corby, but only if he promises to return to complete the term of his slavery.
