Acerca de esta escucha
After Devlin’s attempts to halt the contractors building a housing development across the road fail, Lash is sent to sabotage the construction site. But what should be easy quickly becomes complicated when Lash discovers the construction company’s owners are Lash’s half-brother Jared, his adopted fully human son, Stan, and a too-friendly female weresnake Maryanne, who happens to be Jared’s girlfriend.
Between this and a full load of current side-jobs including a missing girl and a former-Nazi hiding in America, Lash’s hands are overly full; a massacre of teens at a historical cave by what witnesses said was a dragon would be dismissed as a crank, if it hadn’t come from an old ally in need. Bound by honor, Lash agrees to investigate, deciding to form a team of men to help him in his bloody removal work: The Demolition Men.
The only thing they lack is a wizard. Then, a mysterious vampire sorcerer Torren suddenly appears, offering his magical services to the team if they will allow him to contain the dragon instead of killing it.
Several jobs and near-misses later, the Demolition Men, aided by Torren, hone their skills and collect their cash.
Saved from an abusive home during a job, three human children also now live with Lash and his team, occupying Morwen, the wolf fighter who’s become their surrogate mother. Maryanne is also now Lash’s restless lover, pressing for a more permanent arrangement. Then disaster strikes when Lash is trapped, Darwin and Morwen’s rescue attempt landing them in the same prison.
Dying slowly of thirst and starvation, the three wait to be rescued in time before their animal natures cause them to devour one another to survive. Freed at the eleventh hour, the three emerge scarred mentally and physically. Forging forward, Lash tries to hold them together, even as the pain of what they endured causes them to spiral out of control.
