A Chief Inspector Thaw Mystery

When the founders of a wealthy shipping company are targeted for murder, DCI Thaw and DS Friday are assigned the case. The appearance of Friday’s former training officer places him in an impossible situation. His loyalty is torn between the man who taught him how to be a policeman and his current obligations to DCI Thaw. His actions cause Thaw to seemingly banish him to one of the farthest outposts of the United Kingdom in search of a suspect. But what on its face appears to be a punishment turns out to be just what is needed to crack the case. For the killer has crafted an elaborate scheme to obscure what is really happening. A scheme so carefully crafted it is assured to deceive everyone. Everyone that is, except for Detective Chief Inspector James Thaw.
