The ocean guards its secrets jealously. But some mysteries, once disturbed, unleash a terror that infects the soul.

An unnatural fog descends upon the Archer's Wake, swallowing the horizon and the crew's courage in its chilling embrace. When a ghost ship, the Vanta Grey—lost to the abyss for half a century yet impossibly preserved—drifts into view, duty and a gnawing curiosity compel them to investigate.

What they uncover aboard the silent, eerie vessel is not just a maritime enigma, but a descent into a horror that defies sanity. A forgotten logbook whispers of an ancient, slumbering power, of sacrifices made to the deep, and of a presence that has waited patiently in the crushing darkness.

As the Archer's Wake becomes ensnared by the same creeping dread that claimed the Vanta Grey, the crew faces a terrifying transformation. The whispers from the static-laced radio become personal, seductive, promising oblivion. The very air grows heavy with an ancient malevolence, and the line between reality and nightmare dissolves in the icy grip of the deep.

Dare to plunge into DEEP SEA - Dead Man's Drift, a chilling cosmic horror novella where the vast, indifferent ocean is the least of your fears.

If you crave stories of Lovecraftian terror, maritime mysteries that curdle the blood, and the inescapable dread of an ancient evil awakening, then prepare to be consumed.

The virtual voice is quite tolerable. The story takes some hints from Lovecraft, but isn't indebted to the Mythos. It flows well, and it's a quick one. I like it.

If you like creepypasta, dimestore horror, check it out. If you're looking for revelatory prose, mmmmmmmmaybe go ahead and pass.

If you like quick, pulp horror, this'll kinda float your boat.
