Not a very good book.

Talky, talky, talky.
Not much action.
The plot did not hold together very well.
This is one of Omer’s weakest books.

Not Bad

Not bad, but not his best work in my opinion. Hannah & Bernard are very good characters, but the rest I found kind of all over the place, too many main characters made it a little hard to follow for an audible. Overall it was okay, I already bought the 3 book series so I hope the next one is a bit better and easier too follow.

Interesting mysteries

The mysteries here are decent but kind of lacking when compared to the other two in the series. Still Omer is an excellent writer and the narration is top notch.

love this book as much as hos others, only problem is it was too short for my liking.

1st book was better

Wish I would have just stopped after the first book. This one was dull and not as exciting in my opinion.

Another hit!

I love this series of books. The narrator is great and the story so addictive! I hope the author can keep writing to keep up with my obsession!

Not the best, not the worst

3.5 stars. Omer’s work has been so consistent for me that I’m surprised at how uneven this one felt as I read it over the past few days. In some ways, the multiple perspectives were hard to separate, and the crimes didn’t intersect in a compelling way, so the structure felt a bit janky to me.

What the story lacked in cohesion, however, it gained a a richly dark sense of humor. This increased near the end. The banter was excellent! I think I would have abandoned without it.

The end also felt too abrupt, so maybe there was pressure on Omer to make a series with cliffhangers? I’m going to put the final book in my queue and hope for the best. I’d recommend <i>A Killer’s Instinct</i> over this one.

Brilliant as Always!

Mike Omer has become my favourite crime fiction writer. And Eric Martin is a perfect narrator. This book - and the entire Glenmore Park series - are well worth your time and money!

Not exciting

I finished it but it was a struggle. Not a very exciting murder story. Would not recommend.

OK story - not as good as the first in series

I liked the two parallel cases but the book didn't really have any intrinsic urgency to solve the cases. The first in the series had a much more interesting crime and criminal. I hope the 3rd book is better.
