Chase O’Brien, wanted by the Feds for murder during the Appalachia coal strike in the 1920’s, has found himself in the thick of a winner-take-all poker game aboard a Mississippi riverboat during a violent three-day storm. Unknowingly, his winnings will eventually become a contested part of his Last Will and Testament.

One hundred years later a discovery of their great-uncle Chase’s Will by two young siblings sends them on a journey to New Orleans in the hope of salvaging their own questionable future.

A complacent clerk, a slick land shark, a one armed Indian, and the steaming depths of the Louisiana Bayou will all play a part in sealing the fate of Grainger and Beth O’Brien.
