Acerca de esta escucha
It is a favorite pastime in Southern Louisiana taverns to speak of the Dread Pirate LaBelle and his cursed treasure. In hushed tones and careful whispers, drunken storytellers regale the interested with descriptions of a sinking ship and LaBelle’s cursed treasures lost among the marshes.
For Trevor, these stories are more than just rumors. Trevor thinks that he’s tracked down the map to LaBelle’s final resting place, and a guide who is brazen enough to take them there. With the first puzzle piece to a centuries-long riddle is in his grasp, Trevor and his friends expect the adventure of a lifetime.
But there’s a reason that LaBelle’s treasure has never been found. And old, dead pirates don’t like to tell their tales.
Reseñas de la Crítica
"Dead Men's Chests plays like a modern day sequel to The Mummy, giving readers the promise of adventure before dropping us into a house of endless horrors. Much like the author's pirate antagonist Labelle hoarding cursed trinkets, Sterling has infused his tightly-plotted story with a plethora of surprising and disturbing horror concepts, crafting a series of nightmares for our core explorers. It's the most fun you'll have being scared this year." —Joey Powell, author of Nightmares From the Gray

Come for horror, stay for friendship
I didn’t think a cursed pirate ship book would end up stirring up serious feelings about maintaining friendships into adulthood, but William Sterling pulled that off in a huge way. All while keeping it fun and staying true to his silly side.

Powerfully Perfect
Five friends … one last adventure before settling down and “adulting” for real … what could go wrong? Well … add in one squirrelly swamp guide, one sunken pirate’s ship and an old legend involving “cursed objects” … ships ahoy matey “Dead Men’s Chests” was soooo not what I was expecting! I expected chills, and yes, I got them, along with a ton of action, adventure, compelling and interesting history, a bit of romance and humor … but what I did not expect was the emotion and tears! I was taken completely by surprise by the powerful emotions I felt while listening to this story, and the tears that fell! I can’t give details, that would spoil the stunning moments that are in store for future listeners but I will say that this story, these characters, and the powerfully PERFECT narration are a TREAT to be savored and enjoyed! I loved “Dead Men’s Chests”, it has ALL the feels, and I loved every single one! Five fantastic stars!

Really Enjoyed Dead Men’s Chest!
Five childhood friends go on one of their last adventurous trips together before settling in to adulthood life. However, this last trip they take together will be one they would never forget, or I should say, the trip they will regret taking.
I felt a mixture of “The Goonies” “The Mummy” & “The Ghost Ship,” vibes however, “Dead Men’s Chest” was ten times better! The friends demonstrated courage and weakness during their nightmarish crisis. The book seems to be opened for a part two.
The author, William Sterling, beautifully put together this “sitting on the edge of my seat “ & nightmarish masterpiece. The narrator, Glynn Holmes, naturally brought these characters to life, with distinguishing personalities. I felt the characters’ excitement, terror, pain, and regrets. I am looking forward to seeing more exceptional books from William Sterling and more exceptional narrating from Glynn Holmes.
